How to Care for Microfiber Towels and Microfiber Mops
Microfiber towels and microfiber mops are an environmentally friendly way to clean your house. Products like Swiffer dust cloths are single use items and they can't be washed and reused like microfiber towels can. The important thing to know about microfiber is that it requires specific care to keep it in optimal condition. The worst thing you could do would be to throw a microfiber towel or microfiber mop in the wash and dryer with everything else. Here's how to clean your microfiber cloths and keep them in pristine condition.
Instructions
1
Don't put microfiber towels or a microfiber mop in the regular laundry. Other fabrics can shed lint and fibers meaning the microfiber can come out of the wash dirtier than it went in. Either wash without soap or purchase a laundry soap formulated specifically for microfiber cloths.
2
Avoid using fabric softeners or bleach as these can destroy a microfiber towel.
3
Air dry microfiber towels as the heat from a dryer can melt the fibers.
